Upgrades
If your PC or laptop is running very slow and assuming it isn't affected by spyware and viruses, then it may be that an upgrade would be the best option.
But what can you upgrade and is it worthwhile?
With a PC the options are to either add more RAM (working memory) for example doubling the RAM from 512Mb to 1024Mb would provide a very noticeable improvement in performance. RAM upgrades are easy to do and relatively cheap (Depending on RAM type).
A more advanced PC upgrade would be to fit a motherboard kit, these are a great way to create what is effectively a new PC using the old case. This is best combined with one of our full reload jobs and maybe a new faster/larger hard drive. Your PC would then be able to run more applications store far more data and start up faster, in fact all the benefits of a new system but cheaper than buying brand new.
Microsoft Office 2010 upgrades are a good option if you have Office 2003 as the latest version is more secure and easy to use.
Windows 7 upgrades are best limited to upgrading Vista to 7. We wouldn't recommend upgrading an XP system as the hardware is unlikely to be suitable to run it with any speed. Besides XP is good solid operating system is still supported by Microsoft and capable of good performance.
