Broadband internet access is one of those things that once you have it, you can't imagine life without it! If it fails we are lost, no internet means no email, web access, Facebook, Twitter etc. (in other words the end of the world). It is no supprise then that we get a lot of calls relating to slow Internet, or worse no Internet.

What can we do for you, and what can't we do?

We can replace your broadband router if it should fail, we use Netgear routers as these are fast, reliable and have a good wireless coverage. We can set up the router with a secure wireless network which is personal to your home or business (instead of the nodescript BTHomehub5-A66Z type of name).

We can diagnose where the fault is located, for example is it the line, your router, your computer or your home telephone wiring.

We can advise you on the best course of action once a diagnosis has been made.

We can't however repair the fault if it is a ISP (Internet Service Provider) or a BT line fault. We can only advise.

All ISP's will only talk to the account holder so we can't normaly talk to them on your behalf, however in some cases if we are on site and you can authorise us to talk to them we may be able to cut through their "lists of things to try" and get the required action by them.

Before you do anything however, you should unplug the broadband router from the mains supply and wait a few seconds before plugging it back in. Often this will restore normal functions.
